Ecosystems have to have living and nonliving things. All ecosytems need producers, consumers, and decomposers. All organisms are interdependent. Interdependence is organisms depending on each other. Organisms need each other for many different things. In an ecosystem balance is very important. Balance is important because if more organisms take up more space then other organisms eventually die out. If all the organisms die out then the ecosystem eventually dies out. - S.V.
